Inhumanities project follows how cultural norms and worldmaking practices such as war, citizenship and religiosity perpetuate inequalities. Inhumanities emerge from humans safeguarding the category called humans. Inhumanities is inspired by Kathryn Yusoff to explain inequalities are embedded in everyday performance of being human and identity politics.
Geopoetics of Small Things project investigates life and agency of objects who become partners in sociocultural and religious acts, shape political consciousness, inform consumption habit and desires and render everyday experiences tangible. The prefix Geo refers to geographical mooring of things and poetics refers to the Greek word poiesis implying process of making of things. Therefore, this project explains sociocultural processes and geographical moorings that make/unmake small things and infuse them inequalities and political harm.
Body-as-Critique project explores narratives of sexual subversion and ethical/feminist porn to investigate overlapping of sexual erotic pleasures, pornographic critique and gender expressions. The project asks what are performative dimensions of intimacy, when pornography critiques and when reinforces inequalities.
Historical Affect project explores the temporal entanglement and overlapping of pasts, presents, and futures. This project follows how politics of history, historical imaginaries, and ways of remembering configure the emotional landscapes of nations and produce emotive politics.
